Important Notice

Halifax Works was established back in 2000 to help 1,000 local people get work. The funding for this project finishes on 31.3.08, and no new money is available to continue the work in a way, that stays the same.

New money has been secured but it has changed the services we can offer. This means we do less work out in the communities helping individuals, and more work with our local employers, on any staffing, training and also performance issues.

The new service will be part of Calderdale Council, and the staff will be based across the District so they can access as many businesses as possible giving a very local and flexible service.

Growing Calderdale will be the brand used for all business services, and any partners who help businesses in Calderdale have signed up to the brand so we can simplify our approach and services.

3 key partners, Workwise, Careers for Adults, and Halifax Opportunities Trust, will support any individual, who needs help to get a job. We have worked very closely with them over the past 8 years, and they have good staff who can help you with anything to get a job.

You can also get help by contacting your local Job Centre who have different services which can help with training and job hunting.
